Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez (NY) will be introducing the "Liver Illness Visibility, Education, and Research (LIVER) Act of 2019." The bill includes provisions to prioritize and fund liver cancer and liver disease (including HBV and HCV) research at the NIH and liver cancer prevention and awareness grant programs at the CDC.
