The Department of Chemistry invites applications from outstanding individuals for a faculty position in Physical Chemistry (Assistant/Associate Professor). We seek an individual who holds a PhD degree in Physical Chemistry. Candidates with research areas that complement those of the current faculty and build on the strengths of the department and interdisciplinary research, especially in areas like theoretical chemistry and surface chemistry,   are encouraged to apply. Teaching duties will include delivery and development of courses in physical chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates should have two years of teaching experience or postdoc experience. The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous externally funded independent research program in their areas of expertise involving student research projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A minimum of one-year postdoctoral research experience and a minimum of two-year teaching experience beyond postdoctoral training are required. The ability to teach general chemistry will be an added advantage.
