Membership requirements:

*All members must support the aim of the group, which is:

“to use our collective power as Victorian teachers and school staff, and as members of the trade union movement, to fight for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, an end to the blockade of Gaza and an end to the Israeli occupation.”

*Members must intend to be active, accepting that our actual capacity to contribute may vary widely between members and over time. Instagram and the mailing list are better for finding out about events, publications etc.

*This is not a group for working out whether or not you support Palestinian freedom. But there is room for respectful and robust discussion about the specific demands we are pressing for when planning an action, letter, motion etc.

*Members are expected to be members of either the AEU, IEU, or their relevant union.

(This group is part of Trade Unions for Palestine. We are organising as workers within our industry, responding to the call for solidarity from Palestinian Trade Unionists.  Unions are our democratic organs for collective action. We are not beholden to the views of our union leaders, but we are responsible for using every democratic union space available to us to maximise our power to act for Palestine.)

*Members are invited to "all-in" organising meetings which are held on the last Monday of each month. An organising committee meets once a week, and anyone can join the organising committee after attending an all-in meeting

*Membership is free.
