• We try to act within 48 hours on urgent or solvable problems. We have a backlog of complex problems.

2. IF YOU ARE A PUBLIC DEFENDER REQUESTING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT:
• We do our best to reply within 48 hours.

3. IF YOUR ORGANIZATION IS REQUESTING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, TRAINING, BACKGROUND RESEARCH, OR CONSULTATION ON MEDIA MESSAGING AND FRAMING:
• We strive to answer any urgent questions quickly. We respond within 3 days for other questions.
• We have a wait list for pro bono research assistance or staff trainings for organizations. Therefore, we try to combine groups and do these trainings together.

**The housing banishment and registry laws are extreme and unyielding. Once housed, people can still be forced to move at any time for the rest of their lives. We urge you and your client to join the network of organizations and providers working to reform the laws so that people will stop being taken out of safe and stable housing. We follow the legislative priorities of directly-affected leaders in the Chicago 400 campaign.**
