Please note - where activities conflict with services that Belfast Aquatics offer, including but not limited to: Personal Training, Learn to Swim and Coaching Activities, refusal may apply.

Age of Participants - please note where children are involved a current Working With Children Check needs to be provided.

Under 5 - Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 2 children applies. Adult must remain within arms reach.

Under 12 - Supervision ratio of 1 adult to 4 children applies. Children must be actively supervised with no barriers in between.

13 to 18 - Ratio's according to swimming ability.

Adult Participants only - Ratio's according to swimming ability.

Participants swimming ability

Beginner - little or no experience. Qualified supervision ratio's for 13 years up = 1 qualified adult to up to 10 participants

Intermediate - Able to swim 25 metres. Qualified supervision ratio's for 13 years up = 1 qualified adult to up to 12 participants.

Advanced - Confidently swim over 50 metres using a recognised stroke. Qualified supervision ratio's for 13 years up = 1 qualified adult to 15 participants.
