Transition to Kindergarten (T2K) is a program the Pleasant Valley Community School District offers for students that qualify based on data collected during a screening process. Students with birthdates between June 1st and September 15th (prior to their kindergarten year) are welcome to sign up for a screening. Screenings will be held in late spring/early summer.
The purpose of the screening is to obtain a sampling of a child’s skills and behaviors. Information from the screening, along with other factors, such as previous preschool experience, as well as individual student needs, is used to determine student enrollment in the program.
If the student is selected for enrollment, parents must provide the student’s birth certificate, record of immunizations and a current physical prior to the student’s start date. Your child will not be allowed to attend until all records are on file.
If you would like to have your child be a part of the screening process for the Transition to Kindergarten (T2K) Program, please complete and submit the following form.
