Fall Dance Concert 2024 Audition Registration

Audition will include a range of movement forms and creative work. There will not be a formal warm-up during the audition, so please warm-up ahead of time. Please bring your schedule with you: you will fill in your fall semester availability when you arrive. Dancers do not need to otherwise prepare anything for the audition - just come ready to dance! Please wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in, that doesn't get in your way or anyone else's. Long pants are encouraged.

Sign-in for the audition will begin at 2:30 pm. Arrive early so that you have time to fill out necessary paperwork and be ready to dance at 3:00 pm.

ALL ARE WELCOME - you do not need to be a dance major or minor, or enrolled in a dance course to participate. Some prior dance experience is recommended.

We will be casting for several works. Projects will take a variety of forms and utilize dancer skills in a range of dance genres. Each piece will perform in the Fall Dance Concert, Nov. 15 and/or 16, 2024 in the Greenberg Theatre.

All students register for and attend 1-2 sections of DNCE-050/350 Choreographic Laboratory (depending on casting). Each section meets once per week in the evening. Additionally, you would attend your weekly rehearsal(s) for the projects in which you have been cast. Attendance at all class and rehearsal sessions, as well as all tech rehearsals during tech week for which you have been called, is expected as a condition of your casting. Choreographic Laboratory may be taken for 0 or 1 credit.
