2024 Bleeding Control Training for Students

HB 496 mandates that Texas school districts offer annual bleeding control training to students in grades 7–12. With that in mind, the district will hold voluntary training opportunities for a maximum of 100 students for each LISD feeder pattern (Grades 7–12).

To ensure proper instructor/student ratios, pre-registration is required. Once registered the student will receive a link to the Stop the Bleed Interactive course. Each participant must bring your STOP THE BLEED® Online Course Confirmation email (printed or on an electronic device) with a passing score as your ticket into the hands-on training event. If they do not have this email they will not be allowed to attend. We encourage you to select the training located at the high school your student is zoned to attend.

All training sessions will be from 5-7 p.m. Depending on the number of participants, this session may conclude before 7pm. Please ensure arrangements are in place to pick up your student earlier if necessary.
