Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, we'll be celebrating the founding of Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1873. We have a Sesquicentennial Steering Committee that has generated a lot of initial ideas, and now we're looking for volunteers to help us make them happen. We are still in the early stages of planning, so there's lots of room for more input and ideas!

We've created several committees that need volunteers. Please indicate which of the following committees you might like to join (you can choose more than one). *

COMMUNICATIONS: General PR (including social media, media outreach, etc.), creating and distributing collateral (yard signs, street banners), outreach to local businesses to promote, creating calendar of events, etc.

EXHIBITS/TELLING OUR STORY: Help plan exhibits at history museum and high school, create other ways of telling OPRF stories (maybe video interviews with alumni, student assignment tie-ins, social media stories a la Humans of New York, pictorial history with old yearbook photos, etc.)

EVENTS: Could be stand-alone or tie in to existing events (Homecoming, Tradition of Excellence, Prisms, graduation, etc.)

150,000 HOURS OF SERVICE: Promote and document service efforts in honor of OPRFHS by alumni in their communities

MERCHANDISE: Coordinate creation and sales of swag (T-shirts, buttons, mugs, etc.)
