I understand that the Chromebook being provided to me is the property of Aurora Academy. All programs, emails, user sites, written documents, and activity also belong to Aurora Academy and will be periodically checked by authorized employees of Aurora Academy for appropriate use. As a borrower of Aurora Academy technology, I accept the following:My parent/guardian will pay for any charges/repairs due to carelessness.I will not touch any computer or file that is not mine. I will only use my assigned Chromebook – do not touch, type on or use someone else’s device (even if they say you can).I will neither download anything or install apps, games, or other programs on my device nor will I change the settings implemented by the school. I understand that in doing so, I will lose Chromebook privileges.I will use the assigned Chromebook for approved purposes only; and I understand that what I do reflects my future opportunities to use my device.I will not say or send anything to anyone using the device that I wouldn’t be completely comfortable with my teacher or parents hearing, seeing, or knowing about. This includes profanity and any offensive language. I will close out of all programs and shut down the Chromebook EVERY time I am finished with it.I will carry the Chromebook with TWO hands at all times. I will only use the Chromebook on a table or desk (no floors or laps).My desktop will be clear of all food and liquids when using my device.
