Serving on the NYSAER Board of Directors is a good way to be involved in your chapter, influence the future of the organization, and meet other professionals in your field.
Any current NYSAER member is eligible to serve. There are three board meetings a year. One held at the current year’s conference site just before the conference, and two held virtually via Zoom during the winter and early summer.
Board members must be current AER members. Terms are three years. Board members are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. Individuals who have been on the board before and have been off for at least one year may run again. Executive Board Positions are 2-year terms and candidates must have served as regular Board members.
