Fern Hill Elementary and the WCASD K-5 Cyber Program are excited to host "Your Heritage in a Day!"
Dates: May 10-14th, 2021
Presenter's Purpose: To give parents, teachers, and administrators an opportunity to share their heritage with the students of Fern Hill Elementary and the WCASD Cyber Program.
Goal: To expand our students' understanding of different cultures by participating in interactive presentations and/or viewing exhibits.
Format: As a presenter you have the option to do either a live interactive presentation or prerecorded presentation. For either presentation type, please plan to engage the students by sharing your country's history, national anthem, a traditional dance, sport, ceremony, etc. Please feel free to add a display that will show historical references, pictures and/or actual items related to your heritage that you can also discuss during your presentation.
Time: You have the option of presenting "Your Heritage in a Day" during the morning or afternoon session or both sessions. In the unfortunate event that you cannot facilitate a live presentation you have the option to prerecord one. We are hoping that you can join us for the day, so that all students have the opportunity to learn about "Your Heritage in a Day."
If you are interested in sharing "Your Heritage in a Day" with the students of Fern Hill Elementary and the K-5 Cyber students, please fill out this form by April 30th.
