Grouse Pointing on the beautiful Roxby Moor is fast approaching! This is a fantastic opportunity to run your dog on "The king of the game birds".
We are extremely lucky as a club to have access on Roxby Moor. The moor's game keeper Mark Taylor loves watching HPRs on the moor and is always on hand to teach people about grouse and the incredible biodiversity of his moor. It's such a privilege to visit these stunning grounds and well worth the trip from the east of England.
On the Saturday we will have a very supportive and encouraging training day with experienced HPR trainers. The trainers will guide you with any issue you have or just some general grouse pointing training. You'll work on handling and reading your dog whilst hunting on a grouse moor, in a very supportive learning environment.
Sunday will be a grouse pointing test, this is a great opportunity for younger or less experienced dogs to try a grouse test.

In the event of the training day being oversubscribed, preference will be given to our regular monthly training members, then general membership before non-members.
If the GPT is oversubscribed a ballot will be held after the closing date with preference given to members’ JUNIOR* dogs, then members’ ADULT dogs. Preference will then be given to non-members’ JUNIOR* dogs, followed by non-members’ ADULT dogs.
*Juniors are dogs over 6 months of age and less than 2 years of age on the 1st January in the year of the pointing test.
