Friends of Ames Strings (FOAS)                             2024 Summer String Workshop
The 2024 Summer Workshop is an engaging opportunity for young strings students who can read music- middle school students. The typical student in our workshop has completed one year of school orchestra. This workshop provides 25+ hours of instruction over a two-week period of time for all students. Registration is limited and will be documented in the order received. Video submission or an in-person opportunity to play for conductors will occur prior to the workshop. This is done to assist with music selection.

July 8, 2024 - July 19, 2024
Weekday Mornings
9:00 am- 12:00 noon daily.
Community performance scheduled for 11:00 am Dress Rehearsal on July 19, 2024.
Family performance scheduled for 6:30 pm on July 19, 2024.

Location: First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave, Ames, IA 50010.

The Friends of Ames Strings is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded in part through donations and a grant from the City of Ames Commission on the Arts (COTA).
