Neighbor Ride Volunteer Survey
SWAP is a proposed resource sharing platform for nonprofits. The purpose of SWAP is to provide nonprofits with the ability to overcome staff shortages and other resource-based demands within their organizations by utilizing resources from other nonprofits. SWAP enables nonprofits to essentially “borrow” staff, volunteers, or physical resources from other nonprofits for a period of time. Neighbor Ride is participating in an initial pilot of SWAP and as a Neighbor Ride volunteer, there is an opportunity for you to one day play a role in SWAP. If a local nonprofit has a need that you could fulfill, you could choose to volunteer at that nonprofit for some arranged time period.
SWAP was inspired by nonprofits’ need to increase their resources. We are a team of seniors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts working to create a mathematical model for SWAP so that it can be implemented in the nonprofit sector. We are asking you to fill out this survey so that we can understand the resources that Neighbor Ride’s volunteers could offer to this system.
