Audition Ready means it is time for you to put all your skill and talents forward and audition for the upcoming show/play. All acting students who wish to have a role in the show must go through the audition process. This is a very important process to learn as a young actor or actress, as it is a vital part of any actor's life. So here at BBharts we make auditions part of our casting process to allow students to be comfortable the process. Although most students get a role, not always will they get the role they hope or expect, and reacting positively is a huge part of their development process. 

As parents, you can improve your child's experience by trusting the process and encouraging them to continue excell in their journey to becoming a great actor.

What can you expect in the Audition?
The audition process takes 3 weeks 

1. Prep Week -March 6th-10th
2. Audition Week - March 13th - 17th
3. Final Call Backs Week - 27th -31st

As the talent of BBharts grows each year, we have found it necessary to break the auditions by levels. Students generally audition during class time and will receive a specific line up so that each student knows their assigned number and time for audition.  All students are expected to participate.  Once the auditions are done it takes another week for call backpacks and the Final Cast List gets posted!

Students who are not going to be part of the end of the year show still participate and learn the process but will not be called back for a role they wont be able to do. 

What to expect once casted

This year's show will be showcasing the best of the Playhouse Performances! So count on seeing some "Footloose" scenes in addition to new scenes from "Mary Poppins" and "Wicked" 
  • Additional Rehearsals on Saturday if needed - The bigger the role the more rehearsals
  • Additional Workshops exp. Make up, Costume, Prop Workshops, lighting etc...with experts in the field.
  • Quick Change Run Thrus
  • Mentorship -  professional backstage etiquette, presence on stage.
  • Photoshoot: headshots, dance shots 
Expected Actors ONLY 
  • Monthly Rehearsal Fee - $25 (includes all rehearsals and run thrus)
  • Workshops -  $10 -  25 depending on the Teacher fees and size of the class.
  • Prop Fees- $15+ depending the role
  • Run Thurs - Included
  • Pro -Photoshoot -  Headshot included, additional photos

To accept your role all you need to do is sign up for the show once the cast list goes out. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE SHOW NOW. Sign up after the audition process is done so the you can indicate the role you are accepting.
