Sponsored by CERCLL (The Center for Educational Resources in Culture, Language and Literacy, at the University of Arizona), AZLA offers travel scholarships to support attendance at the fall conference in Tucson on September 24, 2022.
There are eight need-based scholarships for graduate students, early career elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels in any world language. AZLA Conference Travel Scholarships provide support for travel to our conference.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: Up to $200 (based on receipts)
DESCRIPTION AND ELIGIBILITY:
Scholarships are open to Graduate students, Early Career Elementary, Secondary, and Post-Secondary educators demonstrating need due to the distance they need to travel to attend (beyond Tucson)
RESPONSIBILITIES OF WINNERS:
1. Winners must attend the 2022 AZLA Fall Conference.
2. Winners will attend the 2022 AZLA business meeting during the conference to be recognized as a recipient of the Conference Travel Scholarship.
3. After the Conference, winners must submit receipts for personal, conference-related expenses (hotel, conference registration) for up to $200 to Jocelyn Raught/Doni Nasr, Co-Treasurer, (
Arizonalanguageassociation@gmail.com) by October 8, 2022.
4. If recipients are unable to attend the conference, they will not receive the award.
