Implementing vocabulary acquisition approaches and effective strategies to improve Arabic learners’ writing proficiency

The workshop will explore tested methods and strategies for developing the writing skills and techniques of Arabic Language learners. The researcher will base the discussion on analysis of students’ writing errors and pedagogically tested ways for engaging students in acquiring new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions including the use of digital tools. The Common European Framework of Reference is the main framework adopted to benchmark the development of native-like proficiency in Arabic language writing. Teachers and practitioners will gain rich insights about up to date teaching techniques and theoretical approaches. Then they will have hands on practice looking at samples of students’ writing and assessing them in line with the criteria shared by the workshop leader. Finally, this workshop aims to build a theoretical model/ guidelines for teachers to improve their students writing skills in Arabic.
