A Space for Grief and Reflection: The names of those we have lost
March 2021 marks the one year anniversary since the beginning of the pandemic and we honor the immense loss and complexity that this year has brought upon each of us as individuals and as a collective.

The Center for Spiritual Life, in collaboration with affiliated faculty MJ Halberstadt '10 and student Patty Tamayo '21,  invite you (all Emersonians: students, staff, faculty, alumnae) to share the names of those who we have lost in this past year. These may be your family members, friends, mentors, role models, those lost to COVID-19, or those who have passed away due to other causes.

With your consent, the names you submit will be placed on a Remembrance Table in the lobby of 172 Tremont Street until the end of the semester so we can honor your loved one in community. Additionally,  Emerson community members may choose to visit the Remembrance Table and contribute small items or written notes that honor the tangible and intangible losses from the pandemic -- as well as the wisdom and strength we have gained.

We hope that these contributions serve as reminders of what this complex moment can teach our community in ways that transform us as individuals and as a collective.

Our chaplain team is glad to meet with you to offer support and guidance. Please indicate below if you would like a chaplain to follow up with you.
