Thank you for your interest in the Ethnic Studies Network of Texas! We would like to get to know you better and find out how you would like to be involved with ESNTX.

Below, you will have the option to join an ESNTX committee or ask to be added to our ESNTX Supporter Email List. In order to become an ESNTX Member, we ask that you volunteer to join an ESNTX committee or working group. You may not be called on to take part in a committee right away, but we do ask that you are willing to take part in the work of building the ESNTX community. If you ask to join a committee or project, you will automatically be added to the ESNTX Supporter Email List. If you are only able to join the email list, you will receive periodic messages from ESNTX regarding the latest developments in Ethnic Studies and curricular justice in Texas.

MISSION: The mission of the Ethnic Studies Network of Texas is to strengthen collaborations between Native American, American Indian, and Indigenous, African American and African Diaspora, Mexican American, Chicanx, and Latinx, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, North African, Arab American, and other intersectional studies, including Gender and Sexuality Studies, for the purpose of promoting Ethnic Studies as a culturally and socially relevant curriculum for grades PreK-16 in the state of Texas.

ESNTX is developing the following committees and a separate support space for members. Please let us know which of the following you would like to join. If you would like to help in ways that go beyond those listed here, please explain in the "Other" option. *

Pedagogy committee (creates a supportive space for educators to share knowledge, resources, and develop ES course pedagogy capacity)

State-wide advocacy (create state-wide policy priorities and implementation strategies)

Local course adoption and community-building (create a local group for ES educators, parents, and students)

Research committee (creates knowledge about course development, impact, implementation, and best practices)

Support Space: Community of Care (a space where we center families and caregivers, supported through workshops and other engaging activities that help promote ESNTX values)
