Description of each position:

The Social Media Coordinator is in charge of HiStory Retold’s social media pages. Their duties are to post on Instagram at least once a week, highlight published testimonials on both Twitter and Instagram, and communicate with other, social-media based organizations.

The Outreach Supervisor is in charge of reaching out to other organizations and discussing partnership opportunities. They are also tasked with creating infographics and visual aides that detail HiStory Retold’s mission and action plan.

The Action Leader is responsible for encouraging concrete action within their community. They are in charge of creating petitions for local representatives that encourage more diverse curriculum, meeting with local leaders to discuss the implementation of HiStory Retold’s platform in their school district, and communicating with their peers to encourage them to publish testimonials.

The Community Director is in charge of collecting testimonials from a wide array of backgrounds for distribution on our website. They are tasked with reaching out to their schools and peers to encourage them to submit their personal stories. They are also in charge of publishing the stories on our website.

The Virtual Event Coordinator is in charge of organizing occasional virtual events to spread our mission. These include opportunities to invite guest speakers, panels, and more. They are also in charge of encouraging people to attend these events.

The Research Manager is in charge of continuously collecting primary source materials that can be added to our already established enrichment materials. They must find stories that represent a wide array of backgrounds and link them to our individual US History topic pages. They must also update our Novels and Websites pages with new information as they see fit.
