He’s One Proud Immigrant

“Did I ever tell you guys about my ancestry?” Cliff asked our weekly dining group.

“Not since you shared the results yesterday on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok,” I replied.

“Well,” he ignored my jab, “since my people come from China, I should embrace my heritage and order for the table.”

“Remind me to nuke the 23AndMe facility later,” I said.

Cliff leaned back. “Besides being 1/8th Central Asian, I’m also 1/4 Eastern European, 2/4 French, and  2/4 Italian.”

“I’m not sure about the other fractions,” I told him, “but you’re definitely not 1/4 math major.”
