The Malden YMCA is offering 3, 10-week English classes for newcomers/beginners. There is a Fall class (lower-beginner), Winter class (middle-beginner) and Spring class (upper-beginner). All classes are held at the Malden YMCA. The classes focus on fundamentals, skill development for reading, writing and conversational speaking.

Come to the Malden YMCA on Thursday, September 26th between 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm OR on Saturday, September 28th between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm to meet the teachers, ask questions and take a placement test to see if you are at the right level for the classes. There is no cost to attend the placement test. Placement tests must be taken in order to be selected for the classes.

Classes cost $30 for members and $65 for community members (Workbooks included in price).

Weekday Classes: Malden YMCA, Tuesdays/ Thursdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, (session starts October 8th).
Or
Weekend Classes: Malden YMCA, Saturdays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Session starts October 12th).

Wednesday Conversations: Malden YMCA. Free opportunity for the community to come and practice speaking English at the Y on Wednesdays, 11 am – 1 pm. Starts October 16th. All levels are welcome.

*The Kids Zone room is available, free for members ($3/hour for non-members), if you need someone to watch your children while you take the class.
