Resilient Communities is an educational and engaging program that aims to strengthen local communities through building resilience and disaster preparedness. The program will run over a number of months and covers topics including Climate Change, Food, Water, Energy, Ecosystem and Energy Resilience as well as Infrastructure and the Economy. The design of program will enable local residents to identify community driven solutions that build resilience during natural disasters and is a collaboration with local disaster management services.
OzGREEN are inviting community members to participate in the "Resilient Communities" Program in their local areas, including North Bellingen, South Bellingen, Thora/Darkwood, Gleniffer, Kalang (online), Dorrigo, Coffs Harbour and Bangalow with the potential to expand to other nearby communities, depending on interest. Local groups will be facilitated by people who live locally with support from OzGREEN.
