Platform Goals
1) Help elevate into the national discussion, and the 2020 election discussion in particular, solutions to the affordable housing crisis that come from directly impacted people across the country. We will also use this platform and the principles in it to shift the national narrative on the causes of the housing crisis and the solutions necessary.

2) Build the movement and build our power to make the policy changes necessary by providing an inspiring and clear vision for what we need to win and using that to recruit more members and allies to the fight.

3) Draw a ‘line in the sand’ for candidates on the housing justice principles and policies they must support to gain the support of the movement and its members. It will also serve as a guide for movement support of pending legislation.
Does this proposal move us towards or away from our ultimate goals as expressed in the platform?
