Glamora J. Maeweather Nursing Scholarship was established in memory of a charter member of the Tau Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Mrs. Glamora Jordan-Maeweather was a registered nurse who worked at Hines Veteran Administration Hospital, and she held leadership positions in the Black Nurses Association.

Scholarship Requirements:
- Completion of a minimum of one year in a College/University Undergraduate Nursing program at the time of submission
- GPA 2.7 and above
- Official College transcript (Provide via email: scholarship@tearosefoundation.org) Transcript MUST be sent by a school official, advisor, or administrator to be deemed "official."
- 3 Signed Letters of Recommendation from instructor, counselor, or community official (Provide via email: scholarship@tearosefoundation.org)
- 250 min / 500 max word essay: "Why did you select a career in nursing and what are your future endeavors?"

- Permanent address MUST be within Cook County (ILLINOIS)
