During this 2023-24 academic year, we are running various activities here at York High School, for Year 5 & 6 children at nearby primary schools, as follows:
Photoshop Club
- The regular series of Photoshop Club has ended for the 2023-24 academic year; it will return in 2024-25!
- However if there is sufficient demand, we may run a couple of additional sessions during the Summer term
- You can still register your child's interest for this club through this form.
- There is no cost to attend.
Recreational football
- These are recreational sessions with a focus on friendship, teamwork and having fun rather than being competitive; this opportunity is open to all, regardless of ability.
- Sessions are held on the Energise 'astroturf' pitch
- This opportunity is open to children in Years 6 who have been allocated a place at York High School, as well as Year 5's who are considering applying for a place next year.
- There is a small cost for these sessions, however if making payment would be an issue, please contact us and we will help in any way we can.
Coding Club
- This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in computers, although the club is open to everyone. There is no cost to attend.
- Sessions are held in an ICT Suite at York High School
- No prior programming knowledge is required or expected; children will initially be using Scratch and have the option to progress to Python.
- This club will run during the Summer term; we will initially offer places to
children in Year 6 who have been allocated a place at York High School; if places remain we will also offer places to Year 5's
- There is no cost to attend.
