Donations for 2020 Point-In-Time Homeless Count Gift Bags
The Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County is the coordinator of a federally mandated homeless count that occurs every other year. The 2019 Homeless Count will take place on Wednesday, February 6. During this single night, volunteers canvass the streets in groups of three or four and attempt to count every unsheltered homeless person in suburban Cook County. The results of the Count are reported to the federal government in order to secure funds for homelessness programs and create a baseline for continued efforts to end homelessness in suburban Cook County. The Count also helps to raise awareness about homelessness and barriers to stable housing in our communities.

On the night of the Homeless Count, gift bags are given to every individual that is encountered. Please complete the form below if you are interested in donating items for the gift bags.

Suggested items include:
- Canvas, drawstring backpacks
- Socks, hats, scarves and gloves
- Gift cards to purchase food
- Gift cards to purchase clothing
- Toiletries
- Individually wrapped non-perishable foods (ex. beef jerky, granola bars)
