Junior League of Kingston Florence Cordts Scholarship Application 

Criteria:

To qualify, the applicant must be a female high school senior residing in Ulster County who demonstrates a strong commitment to volunteering and plans to further her education by enrolling in a college, vocational school, or other educational program that offers a degree, certification or professional license. The recipient must show contributions to her community through volunteer service. A special committee appointed by the Junior League of Kingston, NY, Inc. will select the recipient.

Application Requirements:

1. A completed application and supporting documentation received by the application deadline.

2. Three letters of recommendation, one from each of the following categories: community service, reference, personal reference, and advisor/teacher reference. Name, address and contact number of references are required.

3. A one page essay that includes the following: (approximately 1000 words) Email essays to: scholarshipsjlk@gmail.com 

●  a description of volunteer experiences the applicant participated in and how these activities benefited the applicant and her community.

●  An example of a time that you overcame a challenge or obstacle in your life.

4. An up-to-date transcript, which may be unofficial.
