LIVE WEBINAR CANCELLED
Apologies from the Science Learning Hub team, unfortunately due to COVID, the live webinar – Te Kahui o Matariki and the environment has been cancelled.
We are working on a recorded session that will provide a deeper look at some of the Ministry for the Environment and the Science Learning Hub Te Kāhui o Matariki resources. If you have registered for the live webinar you will automatically be sent the link to the recording and supporting materials as soon as it is live.
Join the Ministry for the Environment and the Science Learning Hub as we explore Te Kāhui o Matariki (
www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/2322-the-matariki-star-cluster) as a guiding framework for science teaching and learning.
Each whetū in the Matariki cluster is associated with an aspect of wellbeing and the environment, such as the land, the forests, freshwater, salt water, wind, and rain. Using Matariki helps us tell the story of the environment. It supports our understanding of the connections and interactions between the environment and people, and it provides a link from the past to the present and into the future.
In this webinar we will unpack ideas connected to Te Kāhui o Matariki and share resources to support teaching and learning.
This session will be valuable for all educators.
You will be sent a reminder email before the webinar.
We will be using Zoom and you can connect to our live session using this link:
