Thank you for your inquiry about receiving marine animal tissue and/or samples from the Marine Animal Response Society (MARS). In order to evaluate your request, list form will collect the following information:

1. Personal and/or organizational information
2. Research project information (e.g. abstract, approvals, permits)
3. Specific sample requests and method of preservation

All requests undergo a review process. Upon approval, we will notify successful applicants to review and sign a Sample Sharing Agreement. Once the tissue requested have been collected, they will be shipped to your laboratory as soon as conveniently possible. The cost of shipping will be assumed by the recipient. There is also a $50/hr cost recovery fee.

* If the samples requested are not normally retrieved during regular examinations and necropsies and/or will require additional time or materials, there may be additional fees at the expense of the Requestee. These costs will be identified in the Sample Sharing Agreement.
