To quote the national Director of SIAMS, the new framework "is radically different" in the following ways:
- the previous grading system will be replaced by a simplified judgement, good grade descriptors will no longer be used and that Excellence will be redundant as a grade.
- a much greater emphasis on local context and also an increased focus upon the role and impact of partnerships and MAT involvement in developing the distinctive ethos and vision of their church schools.
However, it will be "radically the same" as the new framework still explores how a vision rooted in theology enables pupils to flourish in the local context of your school.
This introduction session will:
- Give an introduction to the new SIAMS 2023 framework - highlighting how the inspection experience will differ from previous schedules
- Explore how to your Christian vision should be driving your school
- Help you transition your current SIAMS SEF to reflect the changes
