Application to pitch at #NottsSoup with Hard Heads + Hang-Ups 16th May 2019.
Last minute pitch application -
If you'd like to apply for a last-minute opportunity to pitch please complete this form and submit by 9am Wednesday 15th May. We will let you know if you have been successful by noon on Wednesday.
(This last-minute opportunity has arisen because unfortunately one of the projects selected to pitch on 16th May has had to withdraw for personal reasons.)

Have you got a great idea for using the arts or arts activities to enhance mental health or tackle mental health issues? This could be visual arts like painting, drawing or photography or dance, poetry, theatre, music, pottery, sculpture or architecture. Would a small amount of cash help you develop your idea? Want to pitch your idea at special #nottssoup event with Arts and Mental Health Fund, Hard Heads and Hang-Ups on Thursday 16th May 2019?

Anybody can apply to pitch as long as your idea will benefit people in Nottinghamshire.

How does it work?
Everybody who comes to the Hard Heads and Hang Ups #NottsSoup event pays £5 for a bowl of soup. They listen to 4 pitches from people with ideas that use the arts to aid mental health. If you are selected to pitch
you will have 4 minutes to tell us about your idea without technology.  Our panel and the audience then have the opportunity to ask you a few questions. Following the pitches, the audience get to eat their soup and to vote for which idea they would like to fund. The winner is the one that gets the most votes and they receive all the fivers plus additional donations from Lubrizol and other generous supporters. There is normally about £500 in the pot. Everybody is there to support the pitchers and even if you don't win, you might benefit from telling people about your idea.

Previous winning projects have included workshops for dementia sufferers; confidence building for girls; a garden space for those who have had a stillborn child and our last winner was Lets Talk About Loss who have organised the exhibition which will be on the walls during the event, When Words Hurt,  https://letstalkaboutloss.org/when-words-hurt-a-lets-talk-about-loss-exhibition/

Last -minute applications to pitch need to be submitted before 9am Wednesday 15 May and we will contact you by noon to let you know if your application has been successful.
