Her background includes 28 years of experience in Detroit Public Schools as a teacher, counselor, and staff development specialist, and she has worked with universities and other groups nationally and internationally. Her recent book, co-written by Robert Garmston, Teachers as Facilitators (2022), is based on over 400 interviews with teachers, teacher leaders, and their supervisors from a diverse set of U.S. and International schools.
