Human Potential Group Run Leader Application

We are looking for a handful of individuals to lead weekly group runs throughout Colorado’s Front Range. Thank you for your interest!

These run leaders would plan, schedule, and lead group runs up to one hour in length.

These runs will focus on building a greater HPRS community by creating a low stress and welcoming atmosphere for returning and potential HPRS runners. All HPRS group runs are required to meet HPRS’ standards of inclusivity, equality, diversity, and respect. Ego has no home at group runs, community is key!

Ideally we would have multiple group run leaders for the following cities/towns:

• Denver-Metro & Castle Rock
• Boulder
• Fort Collins
• Colorado Springs

COMPENSATION

Our Group Run Leaders will enjoy the following perks as long as they host two group runs each month.

• Complimentary race entries for all 2024 HPRS races

Why do you want to be a Group Run Leader with HPRS? *
We want our groups runs to be organized in a way where "no runner is left behind." Are you willing and able to be very patient with slower runners, waiting at major junctions, to ensure no one gets lost or left behind? *
Scenario: You're out for a run (be it a race, group run, or training alone) and you run into someone who notices your HPRS gear. Since they notice you wearing HPRS gear, they decide to start talking negatively about HPRS and/or the HPRS Race Director John Lacroix... Honestly, how do you respond to this situation? What do you say to them? What do you say to John or Emily afterwards? How does it affect your ability to be a Group Run Leader for HPRS after the encounter?
*
Please tell us more about the positive impact you feel you can make for others by being an HPRS Group Run Leader.
