We are excited to have you and your family in the Tuffree Instrumental Music Program!
The program is open to all students, and no student desiring to participate will be turned away for any reason. Band consists of two seasons, and all students participate in both. Marching Season runs from September through November; Concert Season starts in December and runs until the end of the year.
Please read the following information and fill out the form below BEFORE coming to 'Taking Care of Business' Days at Tuffree on 8/17, 8/18 or 8/23. Paper forms will be available at TCOB days, but online is preferred.
The following are paid at registration:
PARTICIPATION DONATION: $100
Quite simply, this donation makes our program possible. The high-quality experience our students deserve requires much more than the school district funds.

UNIFORM ITEMS
To keep costs as low as possible, these items are ordered by Friends of Tuffree Instrumental Music and distributed to students.
Marching Shoes ($29) – We fit shoes at registration.
Belt ($5) – All band students wear the official uniform belt
Tie ($22) – Worn during concert season
Music T-Shirt ($15) – Students are required to wear Tuffree Music T-Shirts on certain days during the school year and for off-site performances. Parents may purchase these, as well.
The following are purchased on your own:
White V-Neck T-Shirt – Students wear a plain – no logo – v-neck Tshirt under their marching uniform coat. (Recommendation: Boys/Men Hanes or Fruit of the Loom)
Black Nylon Socks – 100% cotton socks are not acceptable because they fade after washing.
Black Uniform Slacks - Purchase directly from Dennis Uniforms, 22825 Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda (Account Number AN00TF)
White Dress Shirt – Students wear a white long-sleeved button up dress shirt for concerts. Short-sleeved dress shirts and polo-style are not acceptable.
JAZZ BAND INFORMATION (for students who audition and are accepted):
Jazz Auditions take place the first week of school (for fall semester) and the third week December (for spring semester). Jazz Band performers wear a black dress shirt with a tie, black socks and shoes, and black band pants with the same belt as concert and marching band. Students are fitted for the black shirt. The shirt and tie are ordered through Friends of TMS Music.
