Learning a Foreign Language from Videos - a MSc Thesis Study

We, Silas and Martin, are currently doing our Master's thesis at the IT University of Copenhagen. In our thesis we study the potential of using videos as a language-learning tool. We do this by building a video-feature into an existing online language-learning platform called Zeeguu (a language learning platform built by students and researchers across European universities).

Our goal with the study is to help you improve (or maintain) your language skills while we explore the impact of learning through videos together.

Once everything is ready, we will reach out to you and give you access to Zeeguu. You will then use Zeeguu for some weeks while we support you and ask about your experience.

C2 - Proficiency

  • Understands virtually everything heard or read with ease.
  • Summarizes and reconstructs information from various sources coherently.
  • Expresses ideas fluently, precisely, and with nuanced meaning in complex situations.
