Prescribing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV
This training is designed health providers who wish to learn more about prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV transmission.  

The contents of this course are entirely online and can be completed at your own pace. This course was designed with the Nova Scotia context in mind but the lessons are broadly applicable. This course is accredited through Mainpro+ if completed by October 31, 2023. 

In this course, participants will:
1️⃣  Watch a recorded presentation titled 'HIV Prevention, Treatment, & Advocacy' by Garry Dart of the AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia (approximately 50 minutes)
2️⃣ watch a recorded presentation titled 'Prescribing PrEP' by Dr. Glenn Andrea, MD (approximately 20 minutes).
3️⃣ watch a recorded Q&A and discussion with Garry Dart and Dr. Andrea (approximately 50 minutes)
4️⃣ complete an online quiz to demonstrate learning (approximately 10 minutes)
5️⃣  complete a training evaluation (approximately 5 minutes)

This session is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Nova Scotia Chapter for 1 Mainpro+ credit.
