My name is Dhilen Mistry and I am the volunteering director for Westlake High Schools computer science club. The purpose of our club is to explore the applications of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering through various complex projects.
We aim to inspire students' passion for problem solving and electrical engineering by providing real hands-on experience with electronics and circuits.
At each meeting we will complete a different project that is composed of various electrical components. Students will learn how to build these projects and understand more about circuitry and computer science.
You can gain experience using advanced electrical components that most high schools do not provide.
We will start out with basic circuitry and hopefully move onto coding with Adafruit Playground Express. These boards allow you to take code and make it interact with the real world. The electronics and concepts are the same as what professionals rely on to create the devices we use everyday.
Our meetings will likely be after school on Mondays Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:15-4:15 once a month.
