In cooperation with Warco, the “Pay to Ride” fee based busing service will be continuing. This service offers designated stops for those families with non 4-year olds living within the city limits of Dodgeville. This form provides you specific information to help you determine whether this is a service you choose to purchase for your non-4-year-old child.

Description

Designated bus stops will service non-4-year-old students living within a reasonable walking distance of the bus stop. Positioned at locations throughout town, this service, in limited respects, will resemble a mass transit service. Students with pre-paid passes will assemble at the designated bus stop and the bus will arrive at a designated time. Students will board and the bus will proceed to the next stop, ultimately dropping students at their destination: at school in the morning, and the designated stop in the afternoon.

The door-to-door transportation for 4-year-olds is a separate program, not to be confused with the “pay to ride” service option. Residences of 4-year-old students change from year to year and we contract with the bus company separately for that service, in contrast with the 4-year-old program, the paid “pay to ride” service option has bus stops that will remain constant. They will not change from year to year.

Some families who have 4-year-old students riding the bus may request to have their older students ride with the 4-year-olds house stop verses using another “pay to ride” fee base stop. Parents will still need to pay for the older student(s) using the 4-year-old house stop.

Annual Pay to Ride Fees:

“Pay to Ride'' bus fees for families are to be paid directly to: Warco, 4185 Brue Rd, Dodgeville, WI 53533. “Pay to Ride'' bus fees are to be paid in full at the beginning of each semester. Families with students may begin riding AFTER the fee has been paid and approved to start riding by Warco. This process may require a few days to coordinate set up, so please plan ahead.
