The review process will require the following commitments:
Capacity to do a timely and complete review of up to approximately 50 applications within the review period (approx. 3 weeks). The number of applications will vary, depending on the total RWAF received in the disciplines you are agreeing to review. Peer Reviewers will learn exact details—which disciplines and how many applications they will be asked to review - before the scoring period begins.
This includes reading all assigned applications and reviewing the support documents. For low-scoring applications, we ask that
you offer feedback: a line or two of specific commentary that could be included
in the applicant’s grant notification letter.
Attend the orientation session (online, date to be announced). This is where you learn how to use our online portal, how RWAF applications are assessed, and who to contact for assistance. This is also the first opportunity to meet the other Peer Reviewers.
Attend the online review session on to be announced for the Fall session, over Zoom.
Please note: Both of these sessions are critical to the RWAF assessment process. If you know now that you will not be free to attend the
review session (date to be confirmed) please consider joining RWAF’s Peer Review process
at another time.
Compensation is as follows:
- $150 - for attending the orientation and the review session
- $10 per application (assessing the applications assigned to the reviewer
