Animals already genotyped through the BDGP Scheme will not need to be Regenotyped

How it Works
1 -Herd-owner will receive a hair sampling kit for DNA collection, hair sampling instructions and a freepost return envelope in the post

2 - Hair follicles are pulled from the tail end of the individual animal and placed in the hair card provided

3 - The sample is then posted in the freepost return envelope

4 - The sample is analysed in the laboratory and the data is automatically transmitted to the ICBF database

5 - The results are evaluated and published online
