Thank you for your interest in the Student Stewards Program with Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation. Our program turns students into community scientists and local parks into learning laboratories! Through three lessons, we engage your students with scientific inquiry starting with an introduction on the first day, a field trip in a nearby park on the second day, and a conclusion on the third day.
To eliminate transportation costs and scheduling, field trips are walking field trips to nearby parks or open space!
Pricing:
Title I and majority free-and-reduced-lunch schools (50.1% or more)→ FREE!
Non-Title I→ $5 per student
Program Overview (Three Lessons):
Lesson 1: 1 hour introduction in the classroom
Lesson 2: 1.5 hour field trip to the closest park or open space
Lesson 3: 1 hour conclusion in the classroom
