Strategic Planning Listening Session
Kalispell Public Schools has begun our next long term strategic plan to help our community envision what the future might hold for our students and district.  This Strategic Plan will be a five year map with contributions from parents, teachers, business leaders and students.  Trustees encourage long time residents as well as newcomers to complete this survey.

1.  KPS students are given the instruction and support needed so they can achieve at least one year of academic growth per school year? *
2.  KPS provides a sufficient variety of options within the education program such as the Linderman Education Center, Agricultural Education Center, Music, Art, Running Start, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, Theatre, STEM, Trades (welding, construction, automotive), etc. *
3.  KPS provides sufficient systems of support for academic interventions and the social-emotional needs of students. *
4. KPS provides sufficient options for students to be engaged in extra-curricular school programs, such as clubs, activities and athletics. *
5. KPS should consider adding more options for work-based learning, apprenticeships, career-tech education and mastery learning model towards graduation. *
6.  KPS has installed and utilizes safety measures that ensure a safe physical environment for students and staff. *
7.  KPS provides sufficient training and support for the emotional needs of staff and students. *
8.  KPS staff is provided sufficient professional development to keep current on instructional techniques. *
9.  Parents, caregivers and community members have a clear communication path to schools and the district as a whole. *
10.  The students and staff of KPS have sufficient technology access to serve the needs of teaching and learning. *
11.  Glacier and Flathead High Schools will require additional space to serve students in the near future. *
12.  Kalispell  Middle School will require more space in order to serve students in the near future. *
13.  KPS elementary schools are at capacity and will require additional space to serve students in their neighborhood schools. *
