Program information
The Massey Agricultural Society has partnered with Fluffy Angora Rabbitry to bring you “ Grow your own Show Rabbit”.
This program will run much differently than our other programs so please read carefully.
This program is designed not only to teach rabbit care skills but also to teach showmanship skills to be utilized when showing rabbits in competition. Those who choose to participate will meet monthly for June, July and August and practice their grooming and showmanship skills in preparation for the show at the Massey Fair Sunday August 25th.

Both child and parent will sign a contract stating that at any point if the animal is becoming too overwhelming that they agree to reach out and the rabbit will be taken back by Fluffy Angora Rabbitry.

Participants will be required to attend a 20 min zoom meeting May 23 on lionhead rabbit care and grooming
Monthly meetup dates will be given out at pick up and take place at the Massey Fair Grounds.

Each participant will receive one Lionhead rabbit and a bag of transition feed. All other care supplies and housing are the responsibility of the participant.

All rabbits require a high level of care but Lionheads specifically will require quite a bit of grooming and coat care.

When the program ends after the fair, families will have the option to return their rabbit to Fluffy Angora Rabbitry or keep their rabbit as a new member of their family.

Special thanks to Fluffy Angora Rabbitry for donating these rabbits to offer this opportunity to our junior members.
