Birthday Box Sign Up Form!
The Birthday Box is an organization that aims to reach out to families, specifically mothers and children, who are unhoused or currently living in shelters and provide them with a box to celebrate their birthday. Our birthday box will be catered to both children and their guardians, and include items to celebrate their birthday as well as basic necessities (hygiene/gift cards). Our goal is to encourage connection between medical students and individuals experiencing houselessness, not just over necessities like child care/health/education but also over joyful moments that everyone has a right to celebrate, such as a birthday. In doing so we hope to not only celebrate with these individuals but also bring a light to the fact that although shelter/food/health care are integral and essential for all, everyone also deserves to celebrate milestones and the time to care for themselves.
