District 30 has created a meetup group at
https://www.meetup.com/district-30-toastmasters-meetup-group. D30 clubs are welcome to use this meetup group at no charge to advertise any club meeting or event. Prospective Clubs that have paid a charter are also welcome to use the group. Because all D30 clubs will be under one group, District 30 Meetup, some pre-steps are requested.
Clubs using this meetup should:
-assign 1-2 person to be assigned as an EVENT Organizer in Meetup
-have an agenda for each meeting with roles filled
-have the event organizer follow up on the day of the club meeting with invites from meetup to remind them of the meeting and how to access
-address and engage guests during the club meeting
-be ready to invite guests to join and able to email or provide an application in the chat
This form should be filled out by those who wish to be assigned as an organizer. A club officer will be assigned as EVENT ORGANIZER in the Meetup group. One other person from a club may also be assigned and should also fill out this form.
Join the meetup and encourage current members to do so too. It will help the success of your event to have these members regular mark that they are attending your meeting so that potential guests will see that the meeting has some momentum.
You may choose a date to video conference for a meetup overview. Please provide your availability over next two weeks from the date you submit form. You will be assigned as event organizer after attending this training.
