Thank you so much for your interest in helping our school soar to new heights!! For your reference, below is a brief description of the various volunteer opportunities. During particularly busy times, you may receive multiple requests from different teachers &/or administrators within a short time span.

Please never feel obligated to assist with all requests; we just want our interested volunteers to know all of the opportunities that are available so that you can choose what works for you at any given time! Thank you again for your willingness to help, we couldn't do it without you!!

Academic Boosters (help organize academic awards and recognitions throughout the year)

Advocacy (identifies issues related to health and educational success of students)

Athletic Boosters (plan events for athletic recognition, organize fundraisers to aid with athletic needs, etc.)

Beautification - Exterior (flowers, landscaping, yard clean-up, etc.)

Beautification - Interior (decorating for special events, bulletin boards, design projects, etc.)

Book Fair (cashier, help students shop, etc.)

Classroom volunteers( make copies, cut out bulletin board materials, laminate items, etc.)

Community Development (research, engage and establish community partnerships with local businesses to create additional funding and sponsorship opportunities)

Gate duty/Concession stand duty(assist a teacher or two with gate or concessions duty during athletic events)

Marquee (maintain an updated marquee on the exterior of the school)

Membership (organize a membership drive to re-establish a PTA at CMS, enter PTA member info, etc.)

School Fundraisers (helps plan and coordinate fundraising drives)

Spirit Wear (design, sale and distribution of Spirit Wear merchandise through online store and events)

Staff Appreciation (various fun events that express gratitude for our staff such as Cookie Walk, SOUPer luncheon, staff appreciation week, etc.)

Supply Packs (organize and deliver supply packs before school begins in August)

Testing(serve as a proctor during EOGs; help oversee students in transition during testing)

Welcoming (welcome new families to the school; school tours)
