The UNC Journal of Undergraduate Research – UNC JOURney – is an annual journal dedicated to the publication of outstanding faculty-mentored research conducted by current undergraduate UNC students. Our goal is to celebrate and share the original research conducted early in students’ academic careers that reflects appropriate scope and complexity for excellent undergraduate work.

PUBLICITY TEAM
We are looking for students excited to work behind-the-scenes on spreading innovative student research on campus. The Publicity team works on brainstorming and implementing creative marketing strategies to promote JOURney's name, publicizing the recently released journal, and encouraging students to submit research. 

This is a great experience for ALL majors, and an opportunity to work hands-on with some inspirational student-researchers on campus.

SOCIAL SCIENCES EDITORS
This field includes research in psychology, public health, sociology, economics, history, and political science. Editors will review submitted articles in the spring, and work with authors during peer review. They also select the final articles chosen for publication. If you are interested in reviewing research in any of these fields, apply! No editing experience necessary, as training will be given.

HUMANITIES EDITORS
This field includes research in English/literature, history, philosophy, classical studies, ethics, linguistics, and comparative religion. Editors will review submitted articles in the spring, and work with authors during peer review. They also select the final articles chosen for publication. If you are interested in reviewing research in any of these fields, apply! No editing experience necessary, as training will be given.

NATURAL SCIENCES EDITORS
This field includes research in physics, biology, chemistry, astronomy, and environmental science. Editors will review submitted articles in the spring, and work with authors during peer review. They also select the final articles chosen for publication. If you are interested in reviewing research in any of these fields, apply! No editing experience necessary, as training will be given.

LAYOUT EDITOR AND JOURNAL DESIGNER
This field includes adding the selected articles to Canva and other editing softwares, and creating a layout to publish the research. Most of the work is in the Spring semester and during the Summer, when the journal is designed.
