1. Participation fee ($75) - this covers the licensing rights to perform the musical.
2. Costume fee ($100) - This is for ONE costume. If you hold a lead part or are in additional scenes you will be notified of extra costume fees.
3. Contract and fees are due by date above. If you have not completed, by due date you will not be allowed to participate or be listed in the program.

FEES: The WWHS musical is NOT a DISD sponsored event. We must pay royalties for the musical that we perform, rental expenses for light and sound equipment, backdrops, supplies for sets, props and costumes to name a few. While ticket sales, underwriting and advertising sponsorships help, they do not completely cover the cost of the musical. The balance must be passed along to each student in the form of participation and costuming fees. Every effort is made to make student fees as minimal as possible.

Financial assistance: A limited amount of financial assistance is available to families needing help. Limited sponsorships are awarded based on need and available resources by the generosity of individuals in the community who support our musical program and provide these funds. Please contact the musical chairman or Mr. Beaird prior to the Student Contract due date if you need consideration for this assistance.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS: The Woodrow musical relies on volunteerism and is impossible to produce without the generosity of our parents and community. It is expected that every family will participate in some way. While many will dedicate countless hours of time, it's considered a minimum for families to offer 12 hours to the musical effort in some way during the months leading up to the performances, as well as to assist during the performance week. This is a great opportunity for you to share in your student's school activities, get to know their classmates and meet other parents. This shared ownership makes for an exceptionally strong musical program of which everyone can be proud.
